Tan Ter Cheah

Ter Cheah has been involved in speech and communications for much of her life, training for and taking graded examinations with Trinity College London (Speech and Drama) from when she was little, to teaching drama to children during her undergraduate days, then undertaking emceeing roles while working at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and later at one of the Big Four accounting firms in Singapore.

Always glad to be learning new things and meeting with new people, Ter Cheah is excited to be working towards full accreditation as aThink On Your Feet® trainer.

A Humanities Scholar while at pre-university and graduating from the Law Faculty of the National University of Singapore, Ter Cheah is a qualified Singapore lawyer who is also called to the New York Bar. She is also a Singapore Chartered Accountant and member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Warm and sometimes droll, Ter Cheah is also a published author of a children’s book called “ONE” which was shortlisted for the Best Young Adults’ Title, Singapore Book Awards 2016. She regularly conducts book talks in schools, both in-person and virtually, to share her experiencesas a childhood cancer survivor.
